The Restore & Thrive Committee is a collaborative initiative of the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce dedicated to strengthening Marietta’s economic vitality, preserving its historic character, and enhancing the experience of everyone who lives in or visits Ohio’s first city. Inspired by the upcoming America 250 celebrations, the committee brings together businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders who share a common vision.

Our Mission

  • Enhance the visual appeal and functionality of key public spaces

  • Support local business activity by improving wayfinding, accessibility, and first impressions

  • Celebrate and preserve Marietta’s historic identity while creating a welcoming environment for visitors

  • Build broad community collaboration around projects that make a lasting impact

The Restore & Thrive Committee is committed to bringing pedestrian focused wayfinding signs to our downtown area.  These signs will be created based off the original design work done by Sara Rosenstock for the Enrich Marietta plan.

The first phase of the project will include signs at the eight locations above and is estimated to cost $15,000.

Project Cost: $327,722

Support Raised:

  • $5,000 from the Marietta Area Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Fund
  • $100 in private donations

The Restore & Thrive Committee believes the fencing on Pike Street acts as a vital entrance to the city of Marietta. In its current state, the existing chain link fencing fails to express the historical charm and natural beauty that Marietta possesses.  By replacing it with a more attractive fencing, we can better reflect our community and make a more welcoming entrance not only for Marietta, but for Ohio as a whole.
